Burleson Adventist Church Core Beliefs
Here are some of the Bible teachings that we hold dear as Seventh-day Adventist Christians:
We believe the Bible is God's inspired word, and as Christians we should order our lives by it.
We believe there is one God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; all eternal, all divine, all one.
We believe that Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and that through faith in His shed blood we are saved from sin and it's penalty.
We believe that through faith in Christ's righteousness we can be transformed into His likeness as we daily walk with Him.
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to the church, and that He equips and empowers believers for ministry.
We believe that the Ten Commandments are a transcript of the character of God and a revelation of His will, including the fourth commandment, where God set apart the seventh day of the week at creation as holy time. We believe that the seventh-day Sabbath continues to be a joyful time of worship, service to others, and fellowship with God, family, and fellow believers.
We believe in the New Testament teaching of baptism by immersion as a public expression of faith in Christ and His forgiveness of our sins.
We believe that Jesus will return very soon in a glorious and literal event where those who are alive and love Jesus will put on immortality and where those who have fallen asleep in Jesus will be raised to life eternal.
